Answer:

is not making antibodies against antigens outside the ABO or Rh systems.

Explanation:

Red blood cells have many protein and carbohydrates antigens on its surface , there are about 600 antigens , which are further divided into 20 blood groups .

The presence or absence of antigens determines the type of blood which can be given in the case of blood transfusion .

Anti - A and Anti - B are the only naturally occuring RBC antibodies in the normal human plasma or serum . Others are classified as alloantibodies and autoantibodies .

When people run quickly, they can sweat profusely. Their muscles undergo movement, and the loss of energy takes place. Based on
andreev551 [17]

So, first question:

When we run, we sweat, which means we're getting hotter and hotter and our bodies need to cool down, which they do through transpiration (sweating). If we need to cool down, we need to release the heat that is in our bodies.

To run, we also need to move our muscles, which requires a specific type of energy, called mechanical or kinetic energy, which is the "energy of movement". In our bodies, we don't store that type of energy though, so we have to convert chemical energy to mechanical energy.

Answers: First option and third option.

Second question:

We know that to move we need energy, and that an amazing source of energy is sugar. In this case, the biomolecule mainly used by cells to obtain energy, is glucose, which is a type of sugar.

Answer: B.

Third question:

NAD+ stands for Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide +, an it has many functions, such as an oxidiser. In this case, in fermentation, it's related to glycolysis.

Glycolysis is a process of energy transformation used by cells, where they convert sugars to biochemical energy. The function of NAD in this case, is "housing" electrons for the process to function normally. Note that during the process, when NAD accepts electrons, it gains 1 proton which converts it to NADH.

Answer: C.

Hope it helped,

Schach [20]

Answer:

1. Cervical

2. Lumbar

Explanation:

Spinal enlargements are the conspicuous regions in the spinal cord from where spinal nerves to and from limbs exit and enter respectively. Cervical enlargement is also called the superior enlargement. It starts from C4, the fourth cervical vertebra and extends to T1, the first thoracic vertebra. Cervical enlargement is the site from there the nerve that supplies to and come from the upper limbs arise.

Another enlargement is the lumbar enlargement. It is also called inferior enlargement or lumbosacral enlargement and extends from the ninth to the twelfth thoracic vertebra. It is the site from where the nerves to and from the lower limbs arise.

Sadie was prescribed betaxolol ophthalmic drops by her ophthalmologist to treat her glaucoma. oral beta blockers should be avoid
lara31 [8.8K]
Betaxolol belongs to the drug class of beta blockers wherein these drugs block the action of the beta adrenergic receptors in different organs, including the heart and the bronchial tissues. Oral beta blockers (i.e. Propranolol) must be avoided because there can be additive effects of the ophthalmic drops and the oral drug and may cause severe bradycardia (and/or asthma exacerbation, if the patient has asthma).
