I think when Martin Luther made the I have a dream speech that had the biggest impact on the world, because it spoke to people. It was raw and real, very relatable. He had did a lot and for that we will always remember the things he did.
Simple....as we learned Manifest Destiny was the belief that it was God's will that there be WESTWARD EXPANSION. This meaning that the US claiming more lands to the West was meant to be. This being said...it is logical to conclude that the admission of states to the Union would be met with enthusiasm.
