By w.h Auden what is the response of the people who see icarus into the sea
Sloan [31]

The poem "Musée des beaux arts" by W.H. Auden was written as a response to Pieter Brueghel's "Landscape with the Fall of Icarus".

In this poem, Auden alludes to the human indiference towards other people's misfortune.

In the first section of the poem, Auden shows how humans go around not caring and paying little attention to the suffering in the world. According to Auden, neither children nor animals have enough sympathy to understand someone else's plight. But adults remain uninterested in individual calamity.

In the second section of the poem, Auden refers to Brueghel's paiting, by describing specific images of this dismissal of external suffering. How the ploughman "<em>may</em>" have heard the splash and how, for him, it was not an important failure.

Which literary device does Dickinson begin with the phrase "setting sun"? alliteration metaphor personification sarcasm
Ahat [919]
A metaphor is comparing two unlike objects without the use of the words like or as.  Metaphors are usually symbolic.  An alliteration is a group of words that have similar letters or sounds.  Personification is giving an inanimate object the characteristics that a person would have.  Sarcasm is the use of irony to mock.  You must decide from here.

Luden [163]
The main mechanism by which this might have or could have happened is through increases in the desire to increase monetary gain. Because the main driver of capitalism is an increase in sold goods when a country increases its land this inadvertently makes the country more likely to earn more money through opening companies.
