How does the geography of Australia vary from one place to another
Wewaii [24]

mostly low plateau with deserts, rangelands and a fertile plain in the southeast; mountain ranges in the east and south-east. The geography of Australia encompasses a wide variety of biogeographic regions being the world's smallest continent but the sixth-largest country in the world.Australia, Zealandia, and New Guinea are continental islands. These three regions share some physical features. All three have mountain ranges or highlands—the Great Dividing Range in Australia; the North Island Volcanic Plateau and Southern Alps in New Zealand; and the New Guinea Highlands in Papua New Guinea.Australia is the smallest of the world's continents. It is also the lowest, the flattest and (apart from Antarctica) the driest. The highest point on the Australian mainland is Mount Kosciuszko, New South Wales, at 2228 metres above sea level.

Was the United States Court’s decision fair and benevolent to Dred Scott and his family? And give me a reason why?
dezoksy [38]
No, the courts decision was not fair to him. Dred Scott was told that he would be set free and yet he wasn’t, therefore the decision to have him remain a slave was unfair.

How did the outer banks affect early settlements
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer:

The Outer Banks are a chain of barrier islands that skirt the coast of North Carolina from the Virginia border to Cape Lookout through Currituck, Dare, Hyde, and Carteret Counties. More than 175 miles long, they are separated as much as 30 miles from the mainland by a series of shallow sounds. Pamlico Sound, the largest sound on the East Coast of the United States (and some say the world's largest), is 80 miles long and 15 to 30 miles wide. It is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a part of the Outer Banks and drains into the Atlantic Ocean through Hatteras and Ocracoke Inlets. Albemarle Sound, the second largest (some 50 miles long and 5 to 14 miles wide), was named after George Monck, duke of Albemarle, one of the Lords Proprietors of the Carolina colony. The state's first permanent settlements were made along its northern shore. Other North Carolina sounds include Core Sound, Croatan Sound, Currituck Sound, and Roanoke Sound.

Why do you think people feel so strongly about slavery
nydimaria [60]
American slavery has always been a highly debated topic throughout the years. Often, people associate slavery with words such as brutal, cruel, inhumane, and horrible. Slaves were forced to forget about freedom and forget about the liberties of life that we American’s now take for granted. In the readings “Slaves Appeal”, “Walker’s Appeal”, “Prospectus for the Liberator”, and the movie “Roots” there were many circumstances where slavery was described and realistically documented.
