<span>This allowed farms to grow larger as they could now do more work in a quicker fashion and feed more people. This also put more work on the machinery than on the farmers, where before farmers were out for many hours just to get a small amount of work done, they could accomplish more in the same time frame without it being as physically straining.</span>
Nationalism created a standoff between countries trying to prove who was better. This increased tension boiled over until Archdule Franz Ferdinand was killed.
