How can you solve problems using percentages

Mathematics

You change the percentage to a decimal, by moving the decimal point two places to the left (exp. 25% =.25) and then work the problem like normal. If you need to change a decimal to a percentage you move the decimal point two places to the right (exp. .25 =25%) I hope this helps you : )

What’s the answer for 1/ over 1/2
8090 [49]
1 over 1/2 will simplify into 2. 2/1 simplifies into 2. All we are doing is just dividing by 2 on both the denominator and numerator. So if we want the 1/2 into a whole number, just multiply it by 2 on both sides which then you get 2/1 which simplifies into 2. So the answer is 2. Hope this helps and answers your question!

Which of these are written in scientific notation
SOVA2 [1]
A properly written number in scientific notation has the form:
+/- A*10^n
where +/- is either plus or minus
A is a decimal number (or integer) where 1<= A < 10
and n is a positive or negative integer.

According to these rules,
120,000,000 is written in scientific notation as
1.2 * 10^8
so we need to move the decimal point 8 places to the left and multiply by 10^8.

According to the rational root theorem, what are all the potential rational roots of f(x)=5x^3-7x+11
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

\pm11,\pm1,\pm\frac{11}{5},\pm\frac{1}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

The given polynomial function is

f(x)=5x^3-7x+11

According to the Rational Roots Theorem, the ratio of all factors of the constant term expressed over the factors of the leading coefficient.

The potential rational roots are

\pm\frac{11}{1}=\pm11

\pm\frac{1}{1}=\pm1

\pm\frac{11}{5}

\pm\frac{1}{5}
