The Power Of Language What is the meaning of language? How big the role of language in your life? Have you ever realize the impact of language in your life? In my opinion, language is not as simple as people seen in general. Usually the way people see language just as a tool for communicating with others. For me, behind the general usage of language, it also has a big role in our life because a language has the power to stand and show each person’s identity.
That’s all I have right now for the starting point

Which of the following sentences is complex?
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

The sentence that is complex is:

C. After Danny and Erica rode their bikes throughout the countryside, they went back to Erica's house and had some cool lemonade.

Explanation:

A complex sentence is formed by joining an independent clause to a dependent or subordinate one. An independent clause is able to stand alone as a sentence because it can convey a complete thought on its own. A dependent clause on the other hand, cannot do that. Alone, it sounds incomplete.

The sentence "After Danny and Erica rode their bikes throughout the countryside, they went back to Erica's house and had some cool lemonade" is an example of a complex sentence. The independent clause is:

- they went back to Erica's house and had some cool lemonade

The dependent clause is the one beginning with a subordinating conjunction (after), and which cannot stand alone as a sentence:

- After Danny and Erica rode their bikes throughout the countryside

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!! In what way is the theme in this excerpt from "The Lady of Shalott" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson similar to the
svlad2 [7]
I believe the answer is A, Both poems explore the idea of pursuing new experiences.

The reason behind that, is simple. In the first poem, you can see that "The Lady of Shalott" had seen a boat, and went along the path which took her. In the second excerpt, there are interactions between the two, which lead them on a "broad steam".

I hope that I helped :)
