We have to form a quadrilateral by connecting the midpoints of the square.
The side of the square: a.
The side of the new quadrilateral: x² = (a/2)² + (a/2)²
x² = a²/4 + a²/4 = a²/2
x = a√2 / 2
All sides of the quadrilateral are equal: a√2 / 2.
So it could be another square or a rhombus. But all interior angles of the new quadrilateral are the same: 90°.
Answer: This is the square.

lindsay has 7/8 yards of fabric. to make a purse, she needs 2/3 of the fabric how much fabric did she use?
prisoha [69]

<u>Answer:</u>

Lindsay used 16/24 yards of fabric and has 5/24 yards left over

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

7/8 - 2/3 = ?

Since both fractions have unlike denominators, we are gonna have to rewrite the fractions so we can subtract. We are gonna find the least common denominators, to be able to subtract.

(7/8 x 3/3) - (2/3 x 8/8) = ?

Complete the multiplication and the equation becomes :

21/24 (7/8) - 16/24 (2/3) = 5/24

Find the length of the radius of a sphere with a volume of 904.78 m^3.
KatRina [158]
Volume = (4/3) * PI() * r^3

radius^3 = Volume / (4/3) * PI()

radius^3 = 904.78 /  <span> <span> <span> 4.18879</span></span></span>

D+(−5.004)=2.826<br> I am so confused. What do I do?
enyata [817]

Okayyy, so the answer is 7.830. Adding a negative number is the same as subtracting a positive number so you can rewrite it as d-5.004=2.826, then you will add 5.004 to 2.826 and for your answer you will get 7.830.

What is the area of a rectangle with vertices at (−3, −1) , (1, 3) , (3, 1) , and (−1, −3) ?
kondaur [170]
The length of the side joining points (-3, -1) and (1, 3) is given by

l= \sqrt{(1+3)^2+(3+1)^2}  \\  \\ = \sqrt{4^2+4^2} = \sqrt{16+16}  \\  \\ = \sqrt{32}

The length of the side joining points (1, 3) and (3, 1) is given by

w= \sqrt{(3-1)^2+(1-3)^2} \\ \\ = \sqrt{2^2+(-2)^2} = \sqrt{4+4} \\ \\ = \sqrt{8}

The area of a rectangle is given by length times width.

Thus, the area of the given rectangle is given by

Area=l\times w \\  \\ = \sqrt{32} \times \sqrt{8}  \\  \\ = \sqrt{32\times8} = \sqrt{256}  \\  \\ =\bold{16} \ units^2
