Answer:

The correct answer is a) The war demonstrated the need to shift naval forces quickly from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Explanation:

During the Spanish-American war, Spain and the United States fought for the conquest of Cuban territories and Puerto Rico, obtaining the victory United States. The Americans continued with their ambitious plans to manage more territories, that is why President Theodore Roosevelt proposed to build an interoceanic canal in Central America.

President Roosevelt knew after his experience in the war, that it was necessary to be able to move his troops quickly during wars across the oceans, and the canal gave him the power to manage the sea lanes.

The United States offered Colombia to compare the designated site for the construction of the canal, but Colombia refused and this unleashed several revolts that ended with the independence of the territory of Panama, this led to the necessary negotiations for the construction of the Panama canal that began its maritime traffic in 1914.

What was fashion and literature like in the 1950s?
hram777 [196]
1950s fashions emphasized fragile femininity, in the shape of soft shoulders, stiletto heels, wrist-length gloves and full, billowing skirts. Even working women's outfits hinted at fragility, with pencil-slim skirts and little hats with veil and feathers. I Couldn't find anything on literature, because it wasn't really a time known for its literature.

How did the compromise of 1850 affect slavery during manifest destiny
aksik [14]
Manifest Destiny basically mean, "EVERYONE MOVE TO THE WEST NOW!" But with no slaves, how would they create farms to maintain themselves? Easy: expand slavery. However, this was battled against by several sources to create the Compromise of 1850. The compromise delayed the Civil War, despite politicians knowing it will eventually happen. It bought them time-- that was important! Other new states like Nebraska and Kansas were allowed to allow slavery or not. This eventually grew to where the North had no slavery and the South did, which lead to the Civil War.
