Bring the x’s to one side and the numbers to the other, as if it were an equal sign, not an inequality.

4x+10 > 2x+5
4x-2x > 5-10
2x > 5
X > 2.5

In the case where u have to multiply by a negative number, change the direction of the inequality sign.

Eg.

-2x > 4
2x < -4
X < -2

The area of the parallelogram shown below has an area of 72 units2
nordsb [41]

Answer:

12 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Allow me to revise your question for a better understanding and I hope it will fit the original one.

The parallelogram shown below has an area of 72 units squared. The base is 6 and the other side is 13 Find the missing height.

Here is my answer:

Given:

The area: 72 units squared.

The base: 6 units

As we know that the area of the parallelogram is represented by below formula:

A = b*h where h is the height and b is the base

In this situation, we know:

72 = 6*h

<=> h = 12

So the missing height is 12 units

What is the effect on the graph of the function f(x)= x when f(x) is replaced with f(-x)
Nina [5.8K]
All the x values are made negative

X = 4

F(x) = 2x
F(4) = 2(4)
F(4)= 8

X = 4 (still)

F(-x) = 2(-x)
F(-4) = 2 (-4)
F(-4) = -8
