‘Holocaust’ was the mass killings of around 6 million Jews by Nazis. After this holocaust, Jews had no place to go. For them, the world was parted into two: Places they couldn't stay in and places they couldn't go.

The Jews tried to take help in both legal and “illegal” way to cope with the severe conditions imposed on them in the ghettos. Jewish councils organized temporary residence and distributed food for them. They also tried to provide social welfare and child care services. They did the best they could do from the few resources they were left with.

In 1950, Jews who remained in Central Europe camps fled the camps. So many of them have emigrated to Israel. Some emigrated to Canada, the U.S., Australia, and other countries. Some resided in Germany.
