One of the historical names in baseball game is Jackie Robinson. A major reason for the Civil Rights movement was to fight against racism.

Robinson battled discrimination throughout his life and when in the majors by speaking out <em>against the racism attacks on him </em>which led to publicity for the Civil Rights movement.

As a matter of fact when Robinson began to speak out  his mind in the 1950s, his statements angered many players, owners, and fans throughout baseball.
