Answer:

Hi! The information in paragraph 3 under the subheading Healthcare Providers Can, on page 52 from the CDC Antibiotic Resistance Threats in the United States, 2013, that best develop the idea that this bacterium can be managed is <u>the first one:</u>

<em>"It gives specific information about how hospitals can regulate the patient's environment  to prevent spreading bacteria."</em>

Explanation:

I have the PDF right in front of me and <u>the whole idea of the paragraphs under the subtitle Healthcare Providers Can is to inform how hospitals can manipulate and can know what happens inside the environment to prevent the bacteria from spreading.</u> The paragraphs say that <em>doctors can see the results on their patients and know whether to continue with those antibiotics or change them for more suitable ones</em>, <em>they also can be aware of infection rates and follow control recommendations, they can even use isolation for patients who are suspected to have C. Difficile and gloves for themselves to protect from getting infected.</em> All of these are tips or information to regulate the patient's environment to prevent spreading bacteria, <u>that is why I chose the first option.</u>

Which two parts of this excerpt from F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Winter Dreams" helps build anticipation in the story?
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer: 2 and 5

Explanation: Part 1 is only a description of the action, and parts 3 and 4 introduce details from the character's past that enrich the narrative, but don't build anticipation. Part 2 introduces some anticipation in the last words "...he lay perfectly quiet and listened," which evokes in the reader a feeling of expectation for a relevant piece of auditory information. Part 5 has an even more intense effect, concentrated in the words "...he might never know again," which project an ominous feeling that events are about to unfold in the character's life.
