I would start with a general statement about the play. Then rephrase the essay question in one or two sentences. Then establish the thesis.

Here is some help on the thesis:
Keep in mind that the fact he will always protect his crown is foreshadowed in his violence committed against Duncan. And foreshadowing is sometimes used to foreshadow his downfall. So include points similar to these in the these. Just state your opinion about the question without using "I"

How does the anecdote about the Japanese ambassador contribute to the central ideas of the text? Day of Infamy
a_sh-v [17]

Answer:

He opens his speech with a sentence referring to “a date which will live in infamy" to grab his audience's attention.

Explanation:

The anecdote about the Japanese ambassador is important for the idea of the Day of Infamy as it points out the nature of the happenings in the Pearl Harbour.

President Roosevelt refers to the diplomatic relations between Japan and the USA, as he was saying that the Japanese ambassador was communicating with the USA after the attack on Pearl Harbour was underway.

The main idea of this speech is the Japanese trait of the trust of the USA.
