If I were to travel directly from Missouri to Oregon, I would go through the US regions of the Midwest and the West.

Midwest is usually referred to as the northern and central states of the United States, including Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

On the other hand, Oregon, as well as Washington and California, is located on the Pacific coast, also known as the West Coast of the United States, which forms part of the West region of the United States.

When looking at where MO is on the map (Almost center) & then to look where OR is (above California) you will notice that you will have to travel to the West while also crossing over the other states that are in the Middle. So, to answer your question, it would be Midwest & West.
