You did not provide an excerpt, however, the poem itself has numerous elements of the romantic movement such as writing about nature, melancholy, the highly subjective mood of the writer, and other things.

"No Nightingale did ever chaunt1

More welcome notes to weary bands

Of travellers in some shady haunt,

Among Arabian sands:

A voice so thrilling ne'er was heard

In spring-time from the Cuckoo-bird,

Breaking the silence of the seas

Among the farthest Hebrides2.

Will no one tell me what she sings?--

Perhaps the plaintive numbers flow

For old, unhappy, far-off things,

And battles long ago:

Or is it some more humble lay,

Familiar matter of to-day?

Some natural sorrow, loss, or pain,

That has been, and may be again? "

-By William Wordsworth

How does a writer use tone to advance an opinion ?
lina2011 [118]
Tone is 'the attitude that is conveyed by the narrator of a story'. A reader can be persuaded by a writer's use of tone particularly if it matches the readers own 'feelings' on the subject.

For example in Mein Kampf Hitler used a very superior tone - which matched the sentiments of the general population of Germany at the time.

John Milton's Paradise Lost _____. was written before he became blind explores the mysteries of heaven and hell is autobiographi
ruslelena [56]
The correct answer is "explores the mysteries of heaven and hell"

Milton claimed that his role in writing the epic was to explain the ways of God to men. When he wrote it, he was completely blind, and even though there are some autobiographical elements it is not considered to be an autobiographical work. It is far from sub-par, as it is one of the most important epics in the history of world literature.
