In at least one 150 words, explain how the cultural revolution affevted the chinese people.
Marat540 [252]

Mao focused on setting up a power struggle as he started to notice his influence waning. Thus the political movement initiated by the Mao is known as the Cultural movement.

What is the Cultural Revolution?

Mao Zedong started a political movement that lasted from 1966 to 1976. Mao Zedong authorized a campaign in China to purge the Communist Party of his rivals and instill revolutionary principles in the next generation.

In his opinion, the existing regimes in the Soviet Union and China were putting too much emphasis on remarkable engineering and intellectual achievements and not enough on the adherence to pure ideologies.

During that time many people died in china. He shut down the schools so that the main participants in this class war were students and the youth.

They made life unbearable for the elderly. It disrupted the natural flow of the Chinese centuries old set of traditions where it was the duty of the young to care for the old.
