Dante Alighieri's Inferno started on the Good Friday of the year 1300. Inferno is the first of the three parts of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, which was followed by Purgatorio and Paradiso. In this poem, Dante experience a week of religious adventures in hell and seeing the condition of souls in the nine levels of hell.
