Arguments and Disagreements are meant to be productive. They are meant to educate both parties on the background of the stance taken by the other party so that both parties understand each other better.

When Leading questions (questions aimed at eliciting a certain response) are asked, the other party answers in a way that may not necessarily reflect their views on the matter.

Genuine questions on the other hand, will give the other party a chance to properly defend their stance and air their views such that the party asking understands better.
