I disagree, because it is rather difficult (from experience) to study by yourself. It always helps to have someone help you study by quizzing you or by other means

Six friends share 4 pears

Well, 6/ 4 = 1.5... But if you are looking for the fraction then you would do:
SO what I got Was 1 1/2 this is why: :)

1. 1.5 = 1.5 / 1
Multiplying by 1 to eliminate 1 decimal places
we multiply top and bottom by 1 10's

2. Numerator: (N)
N = 1.5 × 10 = 15
Denominator: (D)
D = 1 × 10 = 10
N / D = 15 / 10
Then you want to simplify your fraction from 15/10 = 3/2 = 1  1 / 2 ! :)

= 15/10

= 3/2

= 1  1/2

What do they say still happens on a winter's night?
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

I believe you're talking about a quote from the poem "Highway men" by Alfred Noyes that I'll put below.

Explanation:

“And still on a winter's night, they say, when the wind is in the trees,

When the moon is a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas,

When the road is a gypsy's ribbon looping the purple moor,

The highwayman comes riding--

Riding--riding--

The highwayman comes riding, up to the old inn-door.

Over the cobbles he clatters and clangs in the dark inn-yard,

He taps with his whip on the shutters, but all is locked and barred,

He whistles a tune to the window, and who should be waiting there

But the landlord's black-eyed daughter--

Bess, the landlord's daughter--

Plaiting a dark red love-knot into her long black hair.”

Write a summary about the benefits of using Fog catchers
klemol [59]

Answer:

Fog catchers, fine mesh nets erected on foggy hillsides, capture tiny droplets of water from fog that later, when enough droplets have been caught, drip down into gutters. This fresh water can be stored in tanks.
