So for Avery, we would need to divide 82/98, which will get you (rounded to the thousandths) 0.837. To get from decimal form to percentage form, just move the decimal point 2 spaces to the right. In this case, the percentage is 83.7%

Since Kim has learned 89% of her spelling words while Avery has learned 83.7% of her spelling words, Kim has learned a greater percentage of spelling words than Avery.

Avery has learned less than 89% of her spelling words, making Kim have the greater percentage of knowing spelling words. :)

Two fair dice are tossed, and the up face on each die is recorded. Find the probability of observing A: { A 3 appears on each of
Arturiano [62]

Answer: 0.0278

Step-by-step explanation:

On a fair dice , there are six numbers (1,2,3,4,5,6) written on each face of dice.

Thus, when we thrown two dice , the sample space for the possibilities of outcomes will become :

(1,1) (1,2) (1,3) (1,4) (1,5) (1,6)

(2,1) (2,2) (2,3) (2,4) (2,5) (2,6)

(3,1) (3,2) (3,3) (3,4) (3,5) (3,6)

(4,1) (4,2) (4,3) (4,4) (4,5) (4,6)

(5,1) (5,2) (5,3) (5,4) (5,5) (5,6)

(6,1) (6,2) (6,3) (6,4) (6,5) (6,6)

i.e. Total number of outcomes = 36

For event A: { 3 appears on each of two dice.}

The favorable outcome = (3,3)

Now, the required probability : P(A)=\dfrac{\text{Number of favorable outcomes}}{\text{Total outcomes}}

=\dfrac{1}{36}=0.0277777777778\approx0.0278

Hence, the required probability is 0.0278.

Find the annual interest rate I=$16 P=$200 T=2 years
nika2105 [10]
<span>0.0392 or 3.92%</span>
The exponential growth formula can find the interest rate.
y=a(1+r)^{x}
y - tolat value (P +I) (216)
a - principal (200)
r- rate (unkown)
x -  time in years (2 yrs)
Substitute known values
216=200(1+r)^{2}
divide both sides by 200
1.08=(1+r)^{2}
take the square root of both sides
1.0392=1+r
subtract 1 on both sides
r = 0.0392 or 3.92%

Can You Please Explain How To Do Problem #10? Thank you! :)
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

separate and square both the top and bottom

the square of square root three is just 3 and the square of  3 (the bottom of the fraction) is 9

so now you have 3(i^2) /9

you can simplify this by three  and then i^2 is -1

you now have -1/3 and thats the final answer
