The salt tolerant grasses, rushes, and sedges of salt marshes cannot grow in areas with strong wave action. These high energy coasts are too damaging to such plants and therefore they only thrive in areas with low energy wave action.

Flauer [41]
The classical period is between the baroque and romantic periods. This means that music from the classical period is music composed between about 1750 to 1820. It is important to note that the classical period ended before Beethoven died. This is because Beethoven was the one who ended it!

How does climate affect where people live in North America?
horsena [70]
Due to sea level rise, increase in inundations, and storm surge flooding, shoreline erosion will be prominent. This will affect the people living in the coastal and the coastal ecosystems like salt marshes. Wildfire and insect outbreaks have been increasing and are likely to intensify. Increased risk of deaths due to heat waves, water-borne diseases, and degraded water quality, respiratory illness, and vector-borne infectious diseases. Due to diminishing snowfields, the availability of water has become a major issue. This will add to the pressure on the availability of the groundwater. Apart from the extreme events, climate change impacts in urban centres will be in the form of urban heat islands, air and water pollution, ageing infrastructure, water quality and supply challenges, along with immigration and population growth, and an ageing population. This will increase the stress on natural resources, and lead to their over-exploitation and exhaustion.<span />

In the contemporary pattern of migration to cities in more developed countries, migrants are more likely to settle in what?
Katen [24]

Answer: Suburban areas, (DONT pick Central city)

Explanation: I figured it out I think, it’s suburban areas cuz people work in the central city, however, they settle in suburban areas since suburban areas have cheaper land, and more space. Does that make sense? Also, central cities in developed areas are congested with very expensive land, so it would make sense that people would settle in suburban areas for less congestion. I hope this helps

Distinctions between environmental possibilism, environmental determinism and environmental probabilism
serious [3.7K]

Answer and Explanation:

Environmental possibility is a thought that states that nature provides a means of modifying the human race, but it is not the main factor in the evolution of society, being a mere supplier of resources. In this teaching, the human being is the main causative agent of evolution.

Geographical determinism is thought where nature is placed as the main modifying agent of society. This is because it is nature that promotes physical and psychic changes in human beings.

Environmental probabilism is the thought that allows human beings, to see the environment as the place that presents probabilities of occurrences of various events, which can be determined through the observation of environmental characteristics.
