A Scorched-Earth Policy is a military strategy which aims to destroy anything that might be useful to an invading enemy army throughout a given territory. The Russians were successful with this technique at repealing the Swedes in 1709, as well as the French and the Germans in 1812 and 1945 respectively.

After listening to some of the music samples, how would you describe Baroque music to someone who had not heard it before? Choos
umka21 [38]
Baroque music is highly ornamental and contains numerous modulations and counterpoints and soloists and similar things which wasn't common at the time. A piece of music can be Well-Tempered Clavier by Bach. In the compositions found in the Well-Tempered Clavier collection, Bach introduced numerous new concepts that were designed to teach others new revolutionary things in music. He mostly focuses on the Piano but a harpsichord and an Organ can also be used. There's a huge variety of styles and irregular number of measures and a variety of music coda.
