Or it could mean that if a question looked like this |-2| it means that it should be a positive if u know what I mean. Any number whether it’s positive or negative inside two lines like this | | means that it must be converted to positive.

I don’t see any question, but if you meant by: “What does these two lines mean?” they mean that something is parallel to each other, for example two angles in geometry.
