<span>During 1890 to 1920 several British colonies like Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa attained Dominion status with self rule govt. India also demanded a similar status without any luck. But with the Amritsar Massacre/Jallianwala Bagh Tragedy in 1919, India did not any longer trust the British and started a Non-cooperation movement until 1922 and subsequently in 1930 passed the Declaration of (Complete) Independence from British.</span>
