One of the most important rules to the Native Americans was that land was to be used by tribes regardless of whether or not it was "worked" in the traditional European sense. This led to great conflict with the Europeans, who thought the Natives weren't entitled to the land if they did farm on it.

Why was the Transylvania Purchase important
Ronch [10]

The Transylvania Purchase was important because it was the opening to Middle Tennessee to European Settlers through the Wilderness Road.

The Wilderness Road was one of the two main routes used by colonial and european settlers to reach Kentucky form the east. This road was proclaimed by Daniel Boone and was intended to the Transylvania company; It started at Fort Chiswell in Virgina and ended in the Cumberland gap, however, it was elongated to reach Louisville.

Thousands of people used this road to reach the north bank of the Ohio river, where travelers set sail on boats to travel towards the west.
