Answer:

The <em><u>scared</u></em> child was lost and asked the store clerk for help to find her mother.

Explanation:

Past participle is the past tense of any verb, majorly identified by the addition of -ed in the word. In simple terms, it is the past form of a verb.

Among the given examples of four sentences provided, the sentence with the word "scared" is the correct answer with its use of the -ed in the verb form of "scare". The other options such as "damaging" and "dripping" are the present participle form of the verb while the verb "having heard" is a perfect participle form of the verb.

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.

charle [14.2K]

Answer:

may try and argue that Lady Macbeth or ambition drove Macbeth to commit his murderous acts to become king, but they are missing out on the main catalysts of everyone’s actions including Macbeth; the witches. Without these three demonic figures, Macbeth would be a history rather than a tragedy. By sparking Macbeth’s most inner desires, they were able to guide him down his dark path, which ultimately led to his death. The ideas they pushed to the front of his mind eventually drove this heroic man to become as dark as the devil himself. The manner of the witches’ prophecy also highlights the brilliance of the plot they have and highlight Shakespeare’s ability to write. Shakespeare cannot have his witches directly cast a spell on Macbeth,…

How is there tyranny in Animal Farm?
adoni [48]
There is one major example of when tyranny is used in Animal Farm. The major example is when Napoleon calls a meeting between all the animals in the barn. The meeting is brutal and short, it starts with the pigs asking all animals to confess to committing bad crimes like talking to the enemy Snowball or stealing items from the harvest. Next come the brutal part, the animals are lined up and the dogs pulled the animals throats out with their sharp teeth, in total that meeting costed the lives of four pigs, three hens, three sheep and a goose. Afterwards all the animals that weren’t killed struggled to feel comfortable and some of them wanted to work harder for Napoleon because they were in fear of being killed in the same way. Tyrant strategies were often used under the rule of Napoleon, it became more prominent and frequently used towards the end of the book when Napoleon's way of ruling became lots more cruel and selfish. It was also used when Napoleon organised the dogs to run Snowball off the farm. Snowball was scared out of the farm because Napoleon organised the dogs to chase Snowball until they caught and killed him or he got off the farm.

Every four years in the summer, the
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

the  presidential candidates travel East to <em>West</em>

<em>"</em>west" at the end of the above phrase should be capitalized.

Explanation:

At least, using the capitals or lowercase must be consistent (use both either capital or lowercase).

The correct way is to use capitalization of directions (east, west, north, south) when they represent specific regions. For example, He's is from the South (meaning he is from southern states).

If a direction does not represent any specific region, it should be used lowercase. For example. The south wall of the house is damaged.

As, <em>East and West</em> in the given sentence represent specific regions of the United States, they should both be capitalized.
