The excerpt discusses two different views against the disease in Elizabethan times. Simon Forman found a way to fight the disease although it is not a scientific one. Nicholas Bownde, the clerk, however, proposed just a way - not any cure or medicine - to fight the disease which consists of faith in God.    The correct answer is the last option - While doctors like Simon Forman tried to help, others such as Nicholas Bownd relied on their faith in God.

satela [25.4K]

Answer:

Feminity and masculinity are both concepts created by society, feminity being associated with females and masculinity associated with males. Females are expected to wear dresses, cook, etc. while males are expected to be hard-workers and athletic. These sterotypes have normalized by society for so long that many were afraid to step out of the box, this is why when men show more feminine side they receive backlash. According to societies standards, they aren't supposed to wear or do anything feminine. Femine men are also praised because they are stepping out of the box and breaking societal standards that have been in place for hundred of years.
