What, if anything, scares you about the future Orwell describes? Why or why not?
Anna [14]

Answer:

In many of his works, Orwell describes the possibility of a future in which totalitarian states, independently of the ideology, exercise total control over the people, who instead of being citizens, become more like slaves.

A particularly scaring prospect is totalitarian control even over one's mind, because we as humans, assume that at least in inside our minds we will always be free.

This is actually one of the central premises of Orwell's most famous book: the dystopian classic 1984. In this work, the protagonist, Winston Smith, ends up becoming a slave to the totalitarian leader, Big Brother, not only because he is obliged to, but also because his mind has been so manipulated, that he willingly gives up his freedom of thought and becomes another drone of the system.

vampirchik [111]
Ever have your phone taken away for looking up something that involves your class lesson? If so then you will be happy to find out that it is good to use your phones or other technological devices.
One reason classrooms should allow technology in the classes is that it can help kids answer questions without having to raise a hand or speak. As it says in,¨ Washington.edu¨, Smartphones are a quick and easy way to survey the kids, which can be good for instant polling, which can quickly assess students’ understanding and keep pace with the kids.
A second reason classrooms should allow tech in the classes is it can help the teachers grade faster and keep track of everything at the same time. As it say in ,¨Washington.edu¨, Course management tools such as Canvas allow instructors to organize all the resources students need for a class and  provide valuable grading tools to create space for more discussion.
One last reason why classrooms should allow tech in the classes is that it can connect to your class or teacher wherever you go. As it says in ¨Washington.edu¨ Online collaboration tools, such as those in Google Apps, allows students and instructors to share documents online, edit them in real time and project them on a screen to show the whole class what you did.
In conclusion, classes should allow tech becasue it can help the students learn better than paper.

hope this helps :) im pretty bad at writing tho

Use details from the text wrinkle in time to write a three or four sentences describing Charles Wallace
vovikov84 [41]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you forgot to attach the text. Without the text, we do not have a specific reference to answer your question.

However, trying to be of help, we can comment on the following general terms.

We can describe the character of Charles Wallace as the little brother of the Murray family in the film "A Wrinkle in Time." He is 5 years old, just a child, but he is super smart. He is very intelligent. He is like the new generation of children with telepathic skills and different abilities than adults.

He uses an elevated form of language because his very proper and educated, not reflecting the vocabulary of common children his age.

"A Wrinkle of Time" is a film produced by Disney Studios in 2018. It is based on an American novel with the same title, written in 1962 by Madeleine Le' Engle Camp.

Create a traditional story with only animal characters. (150 - 200 words)
CaHeK987 [17]

Orla the orangutan was eating a yellow banana. Orla had about five bananas sitting by her side waiting to be devoured. Orla’s friend Gary the grasshopper jumped onto her side.

“hey orla, whatcha got there?” he asked

Orla wiped her mouth and muttered “a banana...”. Gary had seen Orla eating bananas time and time again.

“Why do you ask, Gary?” she continued.

Gary remained quiet. Orla, who was confused, continued eating.

Around the corner Harry the Hippopotamus was munching on the grass below him. Harry’s sister Henrique was growing tired of the boring green grass.

“How could you find grass boring?” Henry was quite confused.

“Henry...ah Henry...it’s so basic. We’ve literally had it since forever.”

“yeah and it’s still amazing”

“i just...i was to try those yellow things.”

“the bananas? You know Orla would never let you have those- their hers.”

“well...maybe she won’t miss a couple.” Henrique says in a suspicious tone.

Harry doesn’t bother to stop her since he knows that Henrique does what she wants.

Gary the grasshopper heard all of this and instantly told Orla Henrique’s plan.

Henrique, who was on the smaller scale for Hippos, snuck behind Orla. She reached her face towards the bananas. inching closer and closer ready to grasp one.

Orla snapped around, “Henrique- just what do you think you’re doing?”. Henrique was shocked, she was so sneaky how did she know. overwhelmed with guilt she confessed.

“Henrique...you know if you had just asked I would’ve given you one.” Orla laughed.

“Oh...” Henrique felt guilty and undeserving.

Orla offered a banana but Henrique denied, maybe stealing wasn’t the best way to get what she wanted.

The end!

(274 Words)

Traditional stories typically have a meaning that goes along with them, in this case stealing isn’t right.

Hope this helps! :)
