In the final act of Shakespeare's “Tempest” Miranda and Ferdinand are playing a game of chess. Miranda innocently accuses Ferdinand of cheating in the game: <em>“Sweet lord, you play me false”.</em> Playing a game of chess and accusation of cheating are bad omens with possibilities of future conflicts arising in their family.
