How do you think the Founding Fathers were influenced by the Enlightenment?
Anna11 [10]
The Enlightenment introduced the ideas of sovereignty and separation of powers which created the basis of what our government would eventually be based on and opened the eyes of our founding fathers. The founding fathers referenced many important enlightenment philosophers in the documents they created (The declaration of Independence, Constitution, etc.) showing that their words had a great impact on pushing them towards separation from Great Britain. The enlightenment also helped in the creation of our checks and balances system and aided in the Stamp Act.

How and why did herbert embarrass schroeder
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

The answer is: As he embarrassed her, it was with his words spoken in the House of Representatives in 1972, and why, because his words denote machismo, to put it mildly.

Explanation:

When Representative Patricia Schroeder arrived at the House of Representatives in 1972 and was assigned to serve on the House Armed Services Committee, her welcome was as warm as her home district, Denver, in a snowstorm. The then President F. Edward Hebert, a declared segregationist and an old Dixiecrat, had Schroeder share a seat with Rep. Ronald V. Dellums, an African-American who had been elected two years earlier. At a time during his first term, Hebert told Schroeder that if he used the parts of his female body - according to reports, Hebert used another word - more, and his mouth less, would go further on the committee.

The answer is: As he embarrassed her, it was with his words spoken in the House of Representatives in 1972, and why, because his words denote machismo, to put it mildly.
