Hmm. good question. i think there are alot of disadvantages. like some students being forced to do something they are not good at. and if they don't do a good enough job on their art then they get a bad grade. some art teachers like to force the importance of art on their students and it doesn't make it fun.

hmm ok How about?
-not being able to find the class you wanna take in most schools
-not passing it the first time and having to retake it...
-purposely failing it because you dont wanna take it<span />
