Mutations occur when DNA makes a mistake in cell division.  This could change the appearance and other disorders of a person.  An example would be sickle cell anemia.

docker41 [41]

Answer:

undergo irreversible repression

Explanation:

Cellular differentiation refers to the process by which one cell and/or cell population divides and differentiates into more specialized cells. During cell fate differentiation, epigenetic marks modify chromatin structure in order to hamper the accessibility of the transcriptional machinery and transcriptional factors to different genes, which are irreversibly repressed. These epigenetic marks include DNA methylation and histone modifications (e.g., histone acetylation, histone methylation, etc). For example, it has been shown that DNA methylation and histone H3 lysine 27 tri‐methylation (H3K27me3) are epigenetic repressive marks on genomic regions that play a major role in gene expression programs during cell fate differentiation.

They are called grit No, they are actually called grains. If you look it up in Classifying Rocks doc. it will specifically quote that they are called grains. Trust this answer, I have been studying rocks and minerals for a couple months now and I know too much about them and I am almost positive I will never use that when I'm out of school in a couple years. Enjoy.

Which of the following is true regarding the cell theory?
natta225 [31]

The fundamental building blocks of life are cells. No matter how large or little, straightforward or complex, the cell hypothesis holds true for all living things. Cells are believed to be a component of all living things, hence they can reveal information about all life.

Schleiden and Schwann advocated spontaneous generation (also known as abiogenesis) as the mechanism for cell origination, but spontaneous generation was later demonstrated to be false. The famous phrase "Omnis cellula e cellula" by Rudolf Virchow "Only pre-existing cells can give rise to new ones." However, the portions of the hypothesis unrelated to how cells first formed withstood scientific investigation and are currently accepted by the majority of scientists. The following are the elements of contemporary cell theory that are commonly acknowledged:

The basic unit of structure and function in living things is the cell.

One or more cells make up every living thing.

Through cellular division, new cells are created from existing ones.

Which explanation provides support for continental drift theory?
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

Coal fields match up across continents.

Explanation:

Alright, so we know the theory is about how first the continents were one big country or something right? So if they once were all together their places were once united so that means it could fit in. So what does that mean? Well, random places could match up such as... Coalfields!
