Charles Dickens was a famous Victorian-era writer in England. He came to be known for having social critic and has written some of the best-known novels based on fictional characters in a fictional town filled with machinery, smoking chimneys, polluted rivers( purple). He focused on his writing on the lives of workers who were facing problems because of industrialization. As factories came up,  cities expanded, and it filled with overworking and unpaid workers.
