= 368/1000
= 46/125

Work: Write the decimal number as a fraction
(over 1)
0.368 = 0.368 / 1

Multiplying by 1000 to eliminate 3 decimal places
we multiply top and bottom by 3 10's

Numerator (N)
N = 0.368 × 10 × 10 × 10 = 368
Denominator (D)
D = 1 × 10 × 10 × 10 = 1000

N / D = 368 / 1000

Simplifying our fraction

= 368/1000

= 46/125

HELP PLS MANY POINTS Use the function f(x) to answer the questions: f(x) = 4x2 + 8x − 5 Part A: What are the x-intercepts of the
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 4x^2 + 8x − 5

To find the x intercepts set y = 0

0 =4x^2 + 8x − 5

Factor

0=(2x-1)(2x+5)

Using the zero product property

2x-1 =0     2x+5 =0

2x=1            2x = -5

x = 1/2           x = -5/2

The x intercepts are ( 1/2 ,0)   and ( -5/2,0)

Rewriting in vertex form by completing the square

4 ( x^2 + 2x) -5

4 ( x^2+2x +1) -4*1 -5

4 ( x+1) ^2 -9

Vertex form is

a( x-h) ^2 +k  where ( h,k) is the vertex

The vertex is ( -1,-9)

We know it opens upwards since a > 0

Plot the vertex and the x intercepts

The graph is symmetric on based on the vertex

After a hike, a group of students equally share 5 boxes of granola bars. Each box has 8 granola bars. Which algebraic expression
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer: B.

First, we have to have a question for this problem to create a solution. So, the example sentence is how many granola bars does each student get.

Second, an algebraic expression has a variable in it. So since we are trying to find the number of students, the variable is s.

From looking at C and D, we can already eliminate them. This question has mostly multiplication and division words in it, so it can't be addition and multiplication.

Now, we only have A and B left. A tip on how to figure this out is reading the word problem out thoroughly. I will use B as an example. 5 boxes of granola bars were multiplied by the number of granola bars each student got. From reading this, it makes more sense. But it does change the example sentence, though.

I hope this helped and this is the right answer!
