Yes, it is possible to sell enough additional tickets on the day of the show to meet the expensive of the show because:
330 x $5 = $1650 (amount of money earned by selling the $5's tickets)

600 - 330 = 270(tickets that are available to being sold at $7 the day of the show)

270 x 7 = $1890 (amount of money earned by selling the $7's tickets)

$1890 + $1650 =$ 3540

$3540 > $3500,so it's possible to sell enough additional tickets on the day of the show to meet the expensive of the show.

Sorry for the grammar, but I'm italian

Please help I really need an answer fast!!!
LiRa [457]
The answer is 8.

first of all you need to find the missing length on the adult version.
so the work would be:
-add up all the known sides of adult so
(56+56+35)=147

-then take the total perimeter and subtract so
 167-147=20

-then you need to compare the two known sides of both the adult and kids version. so that would be the bottom line EM.
They are 35 and 14 so divide
35/14=2.5

Now you know the dilation so you can figure out the missing side GA on the childs by taking the missing side from the adult dividing by the dilation 2.5 to get the answer so
20/2.5= 8

the answer is 8.

I got this correct on the quiz.

I am having a hard time with simultaneous equations specifically the elimination method, i want to know when do we subtract and
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

The solution to these two equations is (3, 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

So for the elimination method, we are basically multiply each equation by a factor that would allow us to cancel them out..

We could rewrite the equations as the following to make the elimination method easier:

-2y + 3x = 7

y + 4x = 13

We could multiply the second equation by positive 2 in order to cancel out the y from the first equation when we add.

-2y + 3x = 7

2y + 8x = 26        --->  Now we have 11x = 33, when we simplify, we have x = 3.

Now to find our y value in order to find the solution, we would just plug in our x value and solve for y. **We can use either equation to find the answer for this...

-2y + 3x =7.

-2y + 3(3) = 7

-2y + 9 = 7

-2y = -2

y = 1.

We can double check our answer by plugging in both x and y values into the second equation.

4(3) + 1 = 13.

12 + 1 = 13, so we are correct.

The solution to these two equations is (3, 1)
