When compared to the United Nations, one of the main reasons the League of Nations was unable to fulfill its purpose was that the United States was not a member.

While the League of Nations was proposed by the U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, Congress voted that the US would not take part of the League of Nations. On the other hand, the U.N. was set up by Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the U.S continue to play a major role in the alliance.

How did Ida B. Wells respond to the question of race relations?
ahrayia [7]
Ida B. Wells responded to the question of race relations by documenting the lynchings taking place in the United States. This was usually done by white mobs who claimed they were lynching blacks because of criminal acts they had done, although Ida B. Wells said this was more due to if there was a sense of competition between African-Americans and White Americans, which the whites did not want to see happen as it threatened their society and the institution of slavery in general.
