The car's battery is dead when the car's light are remained on for a long time. And also the battery terminals are covered with corrosion due to condensation of the battery acid.

Baking soda helps in removing the acid condensation from the battery terminals. By mixing baking soda with hot water and applying the solution over the battery terminal and scrubbing them with a soft brush will remove the acid condensation from the terminals.

Thus baking soda is the substance that can be used to clean the acid corrosion.
