The sculpture Apollo with battling Lapiths and Centaurs in was
said to be a depiction of the conflict between the Greeks and the Barbarians.
Lapiths resemble the Greeks who are reasonable while the Centaurs resemble the
Barbarians which are known to be chaotic.
