Let  Ah be Annie's hour of travel in 1 day and Bh be Brian's hour

to get Brian's hour of travel:
Ah + Bh  = 20

5 (Bh +2 ) + Bh= 20
5 Bh + 10 + Bh=20
6 Bh = 20 - 10
6Bh = 10

Bh =1.66  

To get Ah of travel 1 day
Ah = 5 (Bh + 2)
     = 5 (1.66 + 2)
     = 5 ( 3.66 )
 Ah = 18.30  

Checking: Ah + Bh =20 

18.30 + 1.66 = 20
19.96 = 20 
20 = 20
