The Maya is a Mesoamerican civilisation noted for Maya script,the only known fully developed writing system of the pre Columbian America,as well as,for its art,architecture and mathematical and astronomical systems.
The Maya had <em>no central king ruling</em> their big empire.Instead,there were 20 different states,similar to ancient Greece city states.
