She rushes her way down the hall trying to get to her next class. Taking a deep breath, she sets her stuff on her desk. She carefully clips her bangs back, and brushes out any knots. Applying the lipgloss from her pencil pouch, she takes nervous glances towards the door. Finally, she sees him. Her heart starts to race and her foot begins to tap. Her slim, soft fingers tap the table.
“ Here we go again,” she mumbles under her breath.

Lubov Fominskaja [6]
They are both grammatically correct it is just that the former is using perfact past. As sited from  <span>Cambridge Grammar of the English Language "</span>The preterite perfect [i.e. the past perfect] locates the writing anterior to an intermediate time which is anterior to the time of speaking - it is doubly anterior (140). Please help!! I am a bit confused on what to write about
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

I agree with the quotation. Literature should not be all about sound facts nor is it about fantasies. It must lie in between. We each have our own levels of understanding and our own personal fantasies. A work of literature must provides us with something new in order for the time spent in consuming it be worthwhile. The Book Thief tells us of hard facts but it also provides us with something else, how a life of young child harboring a wanted man is changed after the fact. In the Lord of the Rings, a fantasy world is so vivid and wide that you yourself can navigate through it.
