Answer:

The discovery of the chemical make up of the DNA

Explanation:

The DNA structure which consists of Phosphate, Sugar(Deoxyribose) and four protein(Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine, Thymine) was discovered in 1953 by James Watson, Francis Crick and aided by the work of biophysicists Rosalind Franklin and Maurice Wilkin. However DNA is made up of about 3 billion bases in different orders and sequence and the medical process of trying to get the sequence is called DNA sequencing. Each individual or organism has a distinct DNA sequence and certain groups of origanisms or individuals have distinct but similar sequences. This helps to identify and store vital information for medical use and for future reference. Drugs designed for organisms which has similar DNA sequence should be able to work on effectively on both of them.

shusha [124]

Answer:

What exactly is CER, and how does it work?

CER all starts with a question asked by the teacher. This question is based on a phenomena or lab experience. The student’s explanation or answer, as you may have guessed, will consist of three parts: a claim, the evidence, and the student’s reasoning.

Claim

A claim is a statement that answers the question. It will usually only be one sentence in length. The claim does not include any explanation, reasoning, or evidence so it should not include any transition words such as “because.”

Evidence

The evidence is the data used to support the claim. It can be either quantitative or qualitive depending on the question and/or lab. The evidence could even be a data table the student creates. Students should only use data within their evidence that directly supports the claim.

Reasoning

The reasoning is the explanation of “why and how” the evidence supports the claim. It should include an explanation of the underlying science concept that produced the evidence or data.

_. The replication (exact duplication) of DNA begins with the__________________
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

The replication (exact duplication) of DNA begins with the unwinding of the double helix.

Explanation:

DNA replication is the first step of the central dogma of molecular biology which deals with the formation of 2 daughter DNA molecules from a single parental DNA.

The replcation begin with unwinding of DNA double helix by the breakage of hydrogen bonds between the complementary base pairs resulting in the formation of replication fork.

This incident occur by the catalytic activity of Helicase or dna B protein.
