Answer:

making it illegal to share information with enemies

Explanation:

The "World War I" occurred under the leadership of <em>President Woodrow Wilson. </em>Although the U.S.A tried to remain neutral, the German attacks on the American merchant vessels escalated the issue. The U.S. then decided to declare a war against Germany in 1917.

The war affected the country in many ways. Some Americans did not like the idea that the U.S. will enter the war. In order to crack down on possible outbursts against the government, civil liberties were restricted.

This was supported by the "Espionage Act of 1917" and "Sedition Act of 1918." Part of the Espionage Act of 1917 was making it illegal to share information with enemies. This was considered<em> "disloyalty"</em> to the nation, since many people within the country were of German origin. This act banned the newspapers as well as other forms of media that would give information to the enemies. It also punished people who were proven as spies.

So, this explains the answer.

Why did the Arabs not take Constantinople?
Katena32 [7]

Answer:

Simply said, the European states never had the intention to help the Romans, nor were they close to them in any way - not culturally, not intellectually, historically, not even religiously. On the contrary, for most of their coexistence, the Europeans dreamed to conquer and loot Constantinople themselves.
