Answer:

The original Spanish capital of Honduras was Trujillo.

Explanation:

Under Spanish rule, Trujillo became the capital of Honduras, but it had to alternate that function with the more inland Comayagua, which was better protected against attacks by pirates.  

In 1820 Trujillo definitively lost the status of capital. The area had become independent and together with Comayagua, Tegucigalpa was designated as the capital of Honduras.
