The Summerians believed that the powerful gods controlled everything. The rise and complete development of Summerian civilization took place in the valley of 'Tigris-Euphrates' rivers. In ancient times it is called Mesopotamia, which is today's 'modern Iraq'.

Sumerians built temples at high places. Temples were the center of social life apart from religious functions. The deities that they were worshiped in these temples were the first folk deities.

The area of influence of the gods was local. In this way every city had different gods. The inhabitants of Sumerians were worshipers of polytheism.

Answer:

They, like most cultures from ancient history, were polytheistic, believing in and worshipping several gods at once.

They believed that the gods controlled everything, and that keeping them happy was of utmost importance.

This, they believed, would keep their city-states strong and intact.

Hope it helps! :)

Which of the following best explains why Clarence Saunders Keedoozle concept failed?
vladimir1956 [14]
It failed because either the change did not work well in many business settings, or it was inefficient (due to the inefficiency of the conveyer-belt system). A more accurate reason is that the circuits couldn't handle the traffic during peak hour. The customer's orders were regularly mixed up. The conveyer-belt system was not fast enough or efficient enough to handle it.
