One of the driest continents on earth is Antarctica.

Antarctica is earth's southernmost continent, south of the Southern Ocean, containing the South Pole. Antarctica is the fifth-largest continent among the world’s continents and 98 percent of its landmass is covered by large ice sheet. Generally, Antarctica is the driest, coldest and the most continent with strong winds. Most of the continent is a polar desert that has an annual precipitation of just 200 mm across the coast and lower inland.

What do geographers not use to determine absolute location
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

Geographers can describe the location of a place in one of two ways: absolute and relative. Both are descriptives of where a geographic location is.

Absolute location describes the location of a place based on a fixed point on earth.  The most common way is to identify the location using coordinates such as latitude and longitude.  Lines of longitude and latitude crisscross the earth. Latitude is used to mark the north-south position of a location on the Earth’s surface and ranges from 0 degrees at the equator to 90 degrees at the North and South Poles.  There are 180 degrees of latitude and the distance between each degree of latitude is roughly 69 miles (111 km).

Elan Coil [88]
Polar.

The polar regions are cold year round because of the chill, polar air has a low capacity to evaporate water vapor in the air. The sun angle is fairly low throughout the year in polar areas. A significant amount of solar radiation that does reach the polar surface is reflected back into space.
