Renewable energy are energy resources whose use can be sustained over a long period of time. Most renewable source of energy are clean and emit little to no pollution.
Renewable energy are usually not easily depleted. They are known to:
decrease reliance on fossil fuels because they offer an alternate source of energy.
improve air quality because the produce little to no emission to the environment compared to the use of fossil fuels.
reduce habitat destruction in that they do not affect or alter the environment in any way. Global warming is one of the leading cause of climate change which significantly leads to habitat destruction.
the use of renewable resources can lead to reduction in health problems because the environment becomes healthier.
reduction in pollution owing to the cut in the use of fossil fuels.
They are man made barriers, made of sand, to protect the coast from erosion from the incoming waves. They also help to control flooding from storm surge.
