Andrew Carnegie was American businessman and philanthropist. He expanded the American steel industry and became the riches Americans in the history of US. He was against the annexation of Philippines by US. He personally met to president William McKinley to have talk about Philippines. He even offered 20 million dollars, the amount was same to what was agreed  under the treaty of Paris. But his offer was declined.
