Answer:

They have to drive  20\frac{1}{4} miles more

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total Distance of the road trip = 32 \frac{3}{4} miles

Distance  travelled already = 12 \frac{1}{2} miles.

To Find:

How much farther do they have to drive = ?

Solution:

The distance they have to travel farther = Total distance - distance  travelled

The distance they have to travel farther =  32 \frac{3}{4}  -  12 \frac{1}{2}

=>\frac{128 + 3}{4}  -  \frac{24 +1}{2}

=>\frac{131}{4}  -  \frac{25}{2}

=>\frac{131- 50}{4}

=>\frac{81}{4}

=>20\frac{1}{4}

AURORKA [14]

Answer:

Part A: 1

Part B: -4

Step-by-step explanation:

In a coordinate (x,y), the x-coordinate represents the input of a function and the y-coordinate represents the output.

Part A:

We're looking for the point the line passes through with an x-coordinate (input) of -3. This point is (-3,1) and therefore the output is 1 when the input is -3.

Part B:

We're looking for the point the line passes through with a y-coordinate (output) of 2. This point is (-4,2) and therefore an input of -4 yields an output of 2.

If 10% is deducted from a bill, $58.50 remains to be paid. How much is the original bill?
NARA [144]

Answer:

From the above we can roughly for an equation which is:

58.50 = Bill - (10% x Bill)

58.5 = Bill - (1/10 x Bill)

58.5 = 9/10 x Bill (Divide both sides by 9/10)

We get:

Bill = 58.5 / (9/10)

Bill = 65

Original bill is $65.

An employee earns $200 for 14 hours work. Assuming he is paid by the hour, how much will this employee earn in 35 hours?
bezimeni [28]
If an employee earns 200 dollars for 14 hours work, that means this person gets approximately 14 dollars and 29 cents per every hour.

Thus, in 35 hours, you can multiply 14.29 by 35 to get about 500 dollars.

In 35 hours, the employee will earn 500 dollars.

Suppose that all the points on the circular dartboard shown are equally likely to be hit by a dart. if the radius of the red cir
Anestetic [448]
This equals the  the area of white part / area of the entire dartboard

area of the entire board = pi * 6^2 = 36pi

area of white part = 36pi  - 2^2*pi  = 32pi

do required probability = 32pi / 36pi  =  0.889   or 88.9 %   (to nearest tenth)
